Skin care treatments are a lot like music, what works for me might not work for you! There are some steps that you can take to determine the treatment that will work best for you, and no doctor or dermatologist is needed.

The key to finding the right acne treatment for your skin is to test some out. Before running down to the drug store and buying every one that you see, there are some steps to take. First, you have to determine what your skin type is. Oily skin types will return to being oily within an hour after washing your face. Dry skin types will remain dry and tight after an hour. Combination skin types will have oily areas through the T-zone (across the brow and down the nose) and dry in other areas. Balanced skin will be none of the above, but hydrated and supple instead.
