While it’s impossible for me to say that XYZ skin care treatment is the best and will clear your skin fast, I can help you figure out which one is the best for your skin type.  Skin care treatments are a lot like music, what works for me might not work for you!  There are some steps that you can take to determine the treatment that will work best for you, and no doctor or dermatologist is needed.

The key to finding the right acne treatment for your skin is to test some out.  Before running down to the drug store and buying every one that you see, there are some steps to take.  First, you have to determine what your skin type is.  Oily skin types will return to being oily within an hour after washing your face.  Dry skin types will remain dry and tight after an hour.  Combination skin types will have oily areas through the T-zone (across the brow and down the nose) and dry in other areas.  Balanced skin will be none of the above, but hydrated and supple instead.

After you figure out your skin type take a look at the skin care treatments that you already have to see if they match your skin.  Most treatments will say that they’re made for dry or oily skin.  If not use what you already have as a gauge.  If your skin is dry then the active ingredients in your current skin care treatment are probably too concentrated, so you want to find something that is going to be more gentle.  If your skin is oily after washing, you can probably take something that is more concentrated.

Picking out a skin care treatment at the drug store or online is simple, just find one that matches your skin type and your budget and buy it.  The problem that many people have is that they jump from one treatment to another without giving it time to actually be effective.  Give whatever you buy an honest shot to work, which usually means an entire bottle/jar/tube before deciding if it’s going to give you good results.

Once you finish that cycle, you can either stick with it, or use the results that it gave you to choose a different product.  Look at the concentration of active ingredients and whether or not the skin care treatment had oil in it, and make your next purchase based on those conclusions.
